Cretaquarium – Θαλασσόκοσμος

The Cretaquarium – Thalassocosmos officially started its operation in December 2005, in the area of ​​Gournes in Crete, Greece, 15 km. east of Heraklion. In a location which consists a unique park of research, education, culture and recreation that aims to promote and diffuse knowledge for the marine environment.

The Cretaquarium – Thalassocosmos invented by former employees of the Institute of Marine Biology of Crete, it is a creation of the Greek Marine Research Centre, and thus is backed by the knowledge specialization and innovation of Greeks Scientists that Aquatic environment has developed over the last 20 years.
